Full Manuscript Critique
A manuscript critique is a big-picture level of editing. It does not analyze grammar, punctuation, or word usage. Instead it looks at aspects of the novel including (but not limited to) voice, pacing, word choice, character development, point of view, scene vs. summary, etc.
While a manuscript critique (also called a manuscript evaluation) is similar to a developmental edit, it is not nearly as exhaustive. Comments are not included at every instance of a trouble spot to be worked out—as they are in a developmental edit
