Copyediting
&
Line-editing
Copyediting is what most people think of as proofreading. During this level of editing, I look for the basic errors such as spelling, capitalization, punctuation, grammar and usage.
Often times a manuscript can be finessed a little more with the use of some line editing. This takes your manuscript from just being grammatically correct, to being more engaging.
Copyediting makes your writing look good, line-editing makes it sound good.
Line-editing can be performed simultaneously with a copyedit, but it requires more time and effort on the editor’s part.

Marcus—self-published author
“It was a relief to have someone else take care of the nitty-gritty stuff like verb agreement and mass nouns. Tiffiny’s thorough attention to detail fixed a lot of things I didn’t realize were wrong in my writing.”
Canna—therapist, poet, fiction writer
“Tiffiny combed through my words with a practiced eye and provided me with detailed feedback as to how I could rework certain phrases to improve them. She also shared what she found valuable and presented options for changes that were tasteful, as well as accurate.”
